I'm a documentary photographer based in the Netherlands. My work focuses on telling small, often unheard stories. My love for nature and photography originated in the Czech Republic, where I spent a lot of time during my childhood. Since I was 10 years old, I've been capturing the world around me, with a focus on nature photography. In 2021, I enrolled at the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU).
During my studies, I developed a fascination for portrait photography, and soon a passion for documentary photography formed. With portraits, landscapes and still lifes, I explores cultural ecology: how people relate to their environment, and how memories, traditions and everyday actions are connected with the landscape.
In my graduation year, I returned to the Czech Republic, the place where my photography started. Here I worked on my graduation project After Kytice. This project explores the Czech countryside, where folklore, nature and identity blend together.
